The personal inspiration

When we become mothers, so much of our care flows towards someone else. I want this balm to offer a little of that care back: a moment of peace, self-love and comfort. My intention is to create more than a body balm — a small personal ritual and a reminder that mothers deserve tenderness too.

“Every mother deserves a moment in which care returns to her—a quiet ritual of comfort, tenderness and peace.”

Maria Drury

The botanical direction

Cacao butter is the featured ingredient in this developing body balm, connecting the idea with my Mexican roots. I am exploring a comforting texture and a subtle natural aroma. The supporting ingredients, proportions and method remain private during development.

The purpose I am exploring

The experience I want to create is a quiet pause: applying the balm slowly, noticing its texture and aroma, and making space to feel cared for. Any claims about the completed product will depend on its final formula and appropriate assessment.

Questions guiding the next stage

  • Which ingredient direction gives the texture I am looking for?
  • How will the formula behave in different temperatures and packaging?
  • What independent safety and formulation review is needed before sharing it?
