A premium organic jojoba oil concept for softer-feeling skin and an unhurried face and body ritual.
Premium organic jojoba oil is our starting point for a simple moisturising ritual for adult face and body care. I am developing it as a quiet part of everyday life: a few moments to slow down, notice your skin and care for yourself with intention.

THE BOTANICAL, WITH CONTEXT
Why we are exploring jojoba.
Often called an oil, jojoba is a liquid plant wax used in cosmetic care. Its emollient character makes it an interesting starting point for softer-feeling skin and a simple moisturising ritual. [1–4]
Jojoba’s native range includes Baja California and Sonora in Mexico, as well as parts of the southwestern United States. That connection with Mexico’s desert landscapes gives this botanical a meaningful place in the Naturalise story. The origin of our eventual retail supply will be confirmed separately. [1]
Moisturising potential.
A small human study found improved hydration in jojoba-treated dry skin after two weeks. It gives us a reason to explore the ingredient thoughtfully. [2]
A simpler care ritual.
We are developing an oil for moments of everyday face and body care: a little softness, an unhurried pause and a feeling of connection with nature.
Developed with care.
The finished product, its suitability and its directions for use still need to be confirmed. Ingredient research guides the work; the future Naturalise product has not yet been tested.

A randomised, open-label pilot study followed 32 people with dry skin for two weeks. Hydration increased in jojoba-treated areas, alongside the other moisturisers. No statistically significant difference in hydration or water loss was demonstrated between products; an early rise in water loss was also recorded. This small, short study supports moisturising potential, rather than a claim of superior barrier repair.

An in-vivo study examined oil uptake in the upper skin layers and changes in skin water profiles. It offers useful context for topical oils; it does not establish long-term results for a future Naturalise product.

A separate preliminary study examined hydrolysed jojoba esters combined with glycerol in a lotion. Those processed esters and that complete formulation differ from pure jojoba oil. Its 24-hour findings should not be transferred to our developing oil.
